| About The Centre: MISSION STATEMENT The Kipkeino High Performance Training Centre (KHPTC) is a non-sectarian athletics-training establishment that strives to present a permanent and regular source of motivation and skills for the world’s athletics community. As a world class training Centre, KHPTC has developed training programmes that seek to meet the expectations of not only the trainees but as well as athletic federations and enthusiasts. We foster the values of physical fitness, total well being and enduring participation in athletics, teamwork, responsibility, accountability and transparency. In keeping with the high standards of KHPTC, we embrace change and will continue to do so as the sport of athletics continues to evolve. This is in line with our belief that change and growth are inseparable. Through the programmes we hope to meet the following objectives: Provide affordable world-class training. Enhance individualized coaching practices. Provide an exceptional group training environment. Promote the sport of athletics and it’s ethical values as a life affirming and life enhancing activity. Encourage participation in Athletics at all levels regardless of age, gender or race. Foster and develop links with athletic federations, national governments and other interested organizations in order to promote the interests of athletics. Provide access to a world class training facility. Act as a medium for cultural exchange programmes within the athletic fraternity. In the coming months, we shall strive to maintain our honor by developing new programmes that are critical to the needs of women and the under-privileged within our society. There are many plans within formative stages of development in order to reach this goal. In addition, There are also plans to promote pride and unity within the KHPTC community by providing opportunities to develop, strengthen and maintain ties with external partners such as friends, federations, educational institutions and meet organizers by attracting interest, recognition and support.
